The Duke Street Dog Park is a fenced-in dog park in Alexandria, VA, just across the street from Ben Brenman Park in the south central part of our city. It’s currently being updated with new paths, water fountains, shaded areas, and much more, but since most of the construction is taking place outside of the fenced-in area, the park should remain open all summer! The Simpson Stadium Dog Park, part of the Eugene Simpson Stadium Park complex, has a very active community! In addition to its fenced-in play area for dogs, the park offers a playground for children, a garden, and sport courts–so you can bring the whole family along for the fun. With 9.94 acres of total park space, there’s plenty of room to spread out, too!

Founders Dog Park stands out for its open, unfenced dog exercise area, for it’s early 5 A.M. opening time, and for the dedicated Founder’s Park Community Association which maintains it! It’s also located along the banks of the Potomac, so you can enjoy pleasant river views while you and your furry friend run around! You’ll find this open play area just down the street from City Hall.
